Is Eva a real person?+

Eva is a voice companion powered by artificial intelligence. The goal is to make each conversation feel warm, natural, and useful, while still being clear about how the service works.

What if the person refuses consent?+

The service does not begin unless the user gives direct consent during the onboarding call. If consent is not given, regular calls do not start.

What if consent is withdrawn later?+

Consent-based processing can be withdrawn. If the user withdraws consent, the service for that person stops.

What if someone has dementia or limited capacity?+

DailyFriend is designed only for users who can understand the service and provide their own informed consent. The Terms state that the service is not offered to people who lack the capacity to consent for themselves.

What languages and accents does Eva support?+

Eva can understand any language and accent, but right now she speaks English only. Configurable spoken languages and accents are on the roadmap.

Can I cancel anytime?+

Yes. There are no long-term contracts, and you can cancel without penalty.

Is there a setup fee?+

No. The listed price is the price you pay.

Is Eva a medical device?+

No. We provide a non-medical wellness service. Eva is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

What if the person does not answer?+

Eva retries and can alert the support circle if the missed answer looks unusual.

What if there is a medical emergency mid-call?+

Eva can detect concerning situations and alert the emergency contacts you configure, but we are not an emergency service and do not replace 999 or 111. In a medical emergency, emergency services should still be contacted immediately.

Who receives updates after calls?+

The configured family members, carers, or organisation contacts on the plan receive summaries, trends, and alerts through the dashboard, with email update options also available.

How is sensitive data handled?+

We protect conversations in transit and at rest, maintain processor agreements and formal governance controls, and document retention, deletion, and data-rights processes.

Can I customise the call schedule and emergency contacts?+

Yes. The service is set up around your chosen routine and support circle, including when calls should happen and who should be contacted if something sounds wrong.

Is there a free trial?+

Yes. Your first 5 calls are completely free — no charge until your trial is complete.
